The moon holds 23k gold leaf which is set between two layers of polycarbonate, the same material eye-glass-lens are made with. A 14k gold bail secures the pendant to an adjustable 17”-20” chain, so you can wear it at a length of your liking. Photos display model wearing necklace at both the shortest and longest length.
