23k gold leaf is artistically ‘shattered’ and set between two thin layers of polycarbonate- a lightweight material used to make eyeglasses. One layer of the polycarbonate is clear and one is black, for a beautiful contrast of black and gold. The teardrop is constructed of oxidized sterling silver, hanging from a 14k bail.
